60th National Film Awards: Maharashtra establishes its supremacy

Recently announced 60th National Film Awards created wave of celebrations especially across Marathi film industry. The legendary actor Vikram Gokhale received best actor award for his magical performance in Anumati. He shared his award with Irrfan Khan – Paan Singh Tomar. While charming girl from Kolhapur, Usha Jadhav bagged best actress award for the film “Dhag”. Shivaji Lotan Patil was adjudged best director for “Dhag”. 
As Marathi film community dominated the show, other notable winners are:
Non-feature film category: Best Director – Vikram Pawar for “Kataal”
Best playback singer (Female): Aarti Anklekar Tikekar for Samhita
Best Music Director: Shailender Barve for Samhita (Marathi)
