Indian Compound Men’s Team won “Bronze” at Archery World Cup

Indian Archery got big boost as Men’s Compound team won Bronze medal at Archery World Cup Stage 3 being held in Medellin, Colombia. After losing to France during semi finals; Indian team took on host Colombia in Bronze Medal play off. The team of Rajat Chouhan, Sandeep Kumar and Ratan Singh Khuraijam played well under pressure to grab Bronze medal with a score of 215-210.
Indian team’s performance in the tournament was appreciable throughout as they beat Guatemala 227-216 in first round, El Salvador 236-229 in second round while they lost closely to France in semis 231-234.
Moreover, Indian women’s team made it to finals in Recurve event to fight against China for Gold Medal while Recurve mixed team would play Mexico in Bronze Medal match.
