The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), nodal agency for civil aviation security in India has finally issued orders to allow entry at airports for passengers with softcopy of their tickets by showing laptops, tablets or smartphones. This would eliminate necessity of carrying ticket printout in order to enter inside airports. Lately, most of airlines started charging Rs.50 per ticket printout resulting in lot of dissatisfaction among air travelers.
However, recent orders to accept softcopy of air tickets would provide lot of relief and add to convenience for air passengers. Aviation industry has followed path shown by Indian Railways which accepts e-ticket along with identity proof as valid documents by passenger.
