The second season of the biggest hockey league in the world – World Series Hockey would be conducted during 15th December 2012 and 20th January 2013. Although not recognized by the sport's world governing body FIH, World Series Hockey was hugely successful benefiting all the stakeholders such as players, franchises, owners and commercial partners.
Joint initiative by Nimbus Sport and Indian Hockey Federation, World Series Hockey became quite popular among hockey fans as well as other sport fans. As a result, it is second largest sports league in India after Indian Premier League (IPL).
