Global luxury car giant Mercedes-Benz plans to expand its footprints in fast growing Indian automobile market by pumping Rs. 850 cr by 2014. The company has existing presence in 31 cities across India having 31 showroom outlets and 41 service centers with a investment of Rs. 450 cr.
Additional investment is expected to strengthen production and operational capabilities of the company. Currently, Mercedes-Benz India produces products such as C-Class, the E-Class and the S-Class sedans at its plant at Chakan.
