Geeta Phogat clinched second bronze for India at World Wrestling Championship

Indian woman wrestler Geeta Phogat won Bronze medal at Women's World Wrestling Championship in Edmonton, Canada in the 55kg freestyle category. Geeta defeated Nataliya Synyshyn of Ukraine 3:0 in the Repechage 1 final to decide the bronze medal.
Geeta’s success came after her sister Babita Kumari won bronze medal in 51kg freestyle category. As a result, India’s medal tally increased to 2 medals at World Championship which is best ever till date. India has participated in all seven categories i.e. 48kg, 51kg, 55kg, 59kg, 63kg, 67kg and 72 Kg.
